CONTROL MEASURES:

Leaf spot disease:

Cultural method: Regular cultural operations, pruning and pollarding prevent the disease.

Chemical control: Application of 0.1% Dithane M-45 (1gm/1lit.) twice at 15 days interval before the peak season of incidence control the disease up to 96%.

Anthracnose of som:

Mechanical control: Plucking of infected parts and destroyed by burning the parts helps to destroy the disease pathogen.

Chemical control: Application of 0.1% Bavistin (1gm/1lit.) twice at 15 days interval before the peak season of incidence control the disease up to 96%.

Grey blight disease:

Cultural: Timely cultural operation, pruning and pollarding can prevent the disease.

Chemical: Foliar spray of 0.1 % (1gm/10L) Bavistin twice in 15 days interval can check the disease up to 85.2%.

CONTROL MEASURES:

Stem Borer:
Plant extracts: 5-15% plant extract of Neem, Dotura ,Titabahak and Castor control the infestation.
Chemical control : Plugging of borer holes with cotton swab soaked in 1.5% Nuvan followed by mud plastering of the openings.

Leaf gall:
Cultural method: Collection of infested leaves, twigs and destroy the same in scientific way is recommended.
If the infestation is heavy (more than 25%) pruning and burning of the leaves and twigs is essential.

CONTROL MEASURES:

Muscardine:
Cultural method: Selection of sunny plot for rearing.

Properly disinfect the rearing field.
Use of nylon net is essential

Spray LAHDOI thoroughly on the leaves, tree trunk and soil before 7days of the brushing of Jarua crop.

Flacherie:
Cultural method: Properly disinfect the rearing field.

Follow the proper pruning schedule.
Provide age specific leaves.
